Well I was installing my new AutoKraft oil pand and stripped out the pickup tube bolt.. The one near the front of the motor..
When I took out the bolt half of the threads came with it..

Are you talking about where the oil pickup tube bolts to the oil pump? If so you would probably best served to just buy a new oil pump.

Sorry to hear that. The threads are part of the internal oil pump, so it will need to replaced. I'd recommend a blueprinted one from Katech.

So I went to Katech's website.. Can they pumps be had for less than their price of $150.00??
Also can someone tell me what I need to do to swap the pumps??
Thanks

The going rate for a ported pump seems to be around $130-$150. Knowing the quality of Katech's shop I am sure theirs are the best as far as the ported ones go. You can buy a stock LS6 pump for around $90. Thats what I did and ported and shimmed it myself. Pretty easy to do with a little reasearch and a dremel.
