Hi- Is anyone else running DSE's power steering pump with the integral reservoir? I've had a constant leak for the last year on mine (since it was installed) that seems to be coming out of the vent hole in the cap. I've even tried running the fluid level lower- to the point where I could hear/feel that it was too low. I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem?

Make sure that your lines and/or box are not too close to the exhaust. Fluid expansion can be an issue on camaros and novas due to the proimity of the box and/or hoses to the headers.

+1, 1/4" minimum!!

also if the fluid looks aerated (foamy pink) look for a loose hose fitting or pump reservoir o-ring.

I did too until I added a cooler. It's not from the fluid level, etc. Now with the cold level on the mark it's fine.

thanks for the tips-- I did add heat wrap to the lines since they are within a couple inches of the exhaust, but that is a good thought.

Rick- which cooler did you run? The extruded heat exhanger type or the mini-tranny cooler, or ?? thanks- Dan

I used the DSE cooler. It comes with the crappy barb fittings which I replaced with AN. I made brackets from some aluminum 1"x2"x1/8" and bolted it to the front of the radiator support vertically on the driver's side. Used a 90* fitting on the bottom and a 135* fitting on the top with socketless aeroquip hose.
