And my quest to make October "Black Sabbath Month" across the world continues.

Celebrate them and listen to them often.

Their first offering is shakin' my eardrums as we speak.

:firefire: :git:

Yeah! I saw Heaven & Hell last spring - awesome. The Mob Rules!

Check out www.wolfgangsvault.com to hear a great 1975 live show from Asbury Park. There might be a Dio era show there too.

Does some Iron Maiden count? My wife yelled at me 'cause we were driving with the little one and I had "The Number of the Beast" on. I mean, who's going ot teach my son about music if I don't. By the way, we need an Eddie smiley.

Bonzo...sadly, I am boycotting the Van Halen reunion due to the absence of Micheal Anthony. Gotta stick to my principals. I'm glad you had a good time though. Is that a George Micheal haircut on David Lee Roth??!!!

Black Sabbath set the standard. Their music is as fresh today as it was in 1969 when their first LP was released.

At 14yrs old I never was the same after discovering Paranoid and Master of Reality records in our basement...
I played them backwards to try and hear some messages from Satan.. no worky... they sounded even better forward.

Sabbath and Ozzie are played out here. The local station plays them too much, I swear I'm gonna gouge out my eardrums if I hear them again.

Killswitch Engage is where it is at. :worship:

Yes, they do over play those, but they actually do occasionally hit an Ozzie or Sabbath deep cut. But by that time I am so sick of all things Ozzie I just turn off the radio.

It's a shame DIO didn't do more with Black Sabbath as well. The guy can just flat out sing. Nothing against Ozzy, but they both complimented BS. Of course Iommi can make almost anyone sound good.

I'm listening to the recent Rhino Records release "Live at Hammersmith Odeon". The Sabs live in 1979. If you like Dio era Sabs, this is an absolute must own. War Pigs was never more evil then when Dio sang it.

I got it right off the Rhino website. They release neat stuff sometimes.
