Thanks! Tim Welborn is the Mopar guy. He has somewhere around 35-40. I was over at one of his shops yesterday.

Looking nice! I wonder why he hasn't mini-tubbed a car yet? What's his average build time? He seems to build one a year? Scott's build style is a little more street rodish than I care for muscle cars...but for some reason I'm always drawn to them...perhaps it's the quality and attention to detail? Damn nice car!! Will it be at SEMA??

I was wait'n for someone to say "street rodish". That's why they call'em custom cars ( build what you like ). It is mini-tubbed. It's been two years for Scott on this build. He was building a new home and it put his cars on hold. He has another 69 right behind this one.

Hello all,
Just thought I would drop by and say hi. I am the lucky owner of the car that Scott built and won the Yearone Cup with (the red one in the photos). Scott really knows what he is doing!! Even though I picked it from him two years ago I still drool everytime I open the garage door to take it to shows or just to take it for a drive. I am not bragging but I have entered the car in every possible car show up here and have won first place in darn near every one. Everything from best interior, best paint, best muscle, best street machine, best of show, best engine, and more that I am forgetting. So that said if anyone ever gets a chance to own a car that he has built or have him build one for you I can say you will not be disappointed.
I wanted the black car too but I didnt have enough cash at the time and James Brown bought it before I could come up with it. Thats okay because at least it went to another muscle car fan.
Well I look forward to seeing the journey of this one and its completion. Way to go Scott!!!
Take Care....

Outstanding! It is a lot of Orange but once its done it will flow nicely. People come up to me all the time and say the same thing about my red car, "wow thats a lot of red". Thats before they see the underneath too.
Again I must say if you ever get a chance to have Scott build you a car or own one he built you can not go wrong, period!

Scott and his buddy did all the work to the car. The 1st pics were in Scott's shop. I just took more pics for Scott. It's going on ebay soon. This car took him longer to build so he would like to sale it to work another 69 he has already started.
Your right, all I do is interiors. I would not be a very good builder. Someone had ask me about the seats in the red 69. They are 69 frames I rebult the seats and made the back seats from scratch. It should show up on my website soon.

Had the chance to introduce myself to the Yearone clan this last week at SEMA. I mentioned that I had purchased Scotts car and they had nothing but great things to say about him as the builder and the car itself. After chatting it up for a while they invited me over to check out the facility and asked me to drag the car over for the next bash. Something about how it would be a great idea if they could get all the past winners there for a reunion photo. All I know is that I am all over it no matter what the reason.
Scott, make sure you are free for the weekend!!
Oh and SEMA was a blast like always. The new Camaro was there in force and I must say the convertable looks great!!!!!

John Boren, Scott and the South Ga. crew have been doing some nice cars for awhile..the orange car is absolutely worth the $100K..couldn't have it built for that..I guess I'll see them in Daytona..John has a very similar taste as I do in cars. He has the Rambler that Trepanier did several years ago..always one of my favorites..John does great custom glass work (like windshields)..did the glass in my woody and several of my other cars

The e brake was relocated, would love to see the center console when he's finished. The car looks clean and simple!
Will the radiator or water pump have flow issue with a squared up 90 degree bend? In one of the pic's the radiator hose meets up with a pipe that then routes to the radiator hose. Take a peek and give me your 2 cents.

Even with those 90's, fluid should still flow faster then the thermostat will allow to pass. JMO.

So Shannon, when doing carpeting in a car that has a custom floor that's completely different than stock, how do you carpet it the thing? Do you simply use carpet stock and then mold it to the floor somehow? I've always wondered and after seeing this car, I figured you'd know. Love the interior design. How many weeks have you been working on this one now? Simply gorgeous. Thanks

Thanks
Most interiors like this one takes me little over two months. I work alone so it takes a good bit of time.
Build the floor up with Closed-Cell Foam. Glue one sheet down and grand it down smooth. Then add another untill flat.

WOW!!!!!! Is that a subwoofer mounted in-between the rear seats? You should enter the car in the Detroit Autorama!
Not in this car. It has two flat suds that will be covered in the trunk floor.
I did in this 69.

Do you still have the black car that you was in at the Good Guys Nashville show in 2006? That thing was sweet and had a damn good looking interior also. I wish I could afford you to do the interior in my 72.

Not sure the car you are talking about. It could be Darrin Cutter's Black Chevelle vert with red interior. He runs a interior shop in IN .
Here's the cars that where there I done the interiors.

tried making contact with the shop that did the subframe/suspension on it to see what they did on the front end to get that awesome stance. No return e-mails from them or calls. Would you happen to know or have photos.

Thanks 69c4x11 for your input
They did return my call and sent me photos/pricing of some frames that are ready to be shipped if I was interested. They do make subframes for any individual interested (Janows Custom Rods). My interest to my thread was the achievement of stance in the photos Shannon posted. At the time I was not aware that Scotts car is sitting on "bags" according to Janows. Sorry,I will not post there photos they sent without there permission.
what is that dash out of in this Camaro? I saw someone earlier say a 57 ford.......but 57 ford what? Thanks. This car looks AMAZING!!!
