a buddy of mine spun his rod bearings all to hell in his 2000 ws6. his only fate is to get the tired old 80,000 engine rebuilt. a shop already pulled it and st waiting on him to give them the ok to rebuild it. they quoted him 3200 for the rebuild. instead of going that route we located a clean 7800 mile 6.0 locally for cheap. the guy told him it was a 2004 but the ad said it was an 05? so which ever. the main questions are:
1. what reluctor wheel is in it? from the pictures i can see the CPS sensor at the rear by the starter like my LS1, so does that mean its 24x?
2. can a T56 and pilot bearing be used with the 6.0 crank?
3. are there any other problems we might face? other than the missing bolt hole we need to drill and tap for the F body alternator bracket?
its a complete long block, minus the valve covers. comes with front/rear covers, valley tray, rockers and valve train, aluminum heads, balancer, and truck oil pan. we need to know ASAP! we hope to scoop it up by monday so the shop can put his car back together.
we were thinking of getting some ls6 yellow springs and a Zo6 cam to wake it up some.
