My wheels are a 5 on 4.75 bolt pattern. The guys building my rear end says theirs is a 5 on 5, but companies make adapters for them. it is a floater 9". Anybody know of any companies that make such an animal? Buying new wheels is out of the question. I already layed down some change for my Fikse Mach-V's.

www.speedwaymotors.com has wheel adapters that go from 4 3/4" to 5" but it looks like they could be used in the opposite direction if you moved the studs around to the different holes.

hope this helps.

i'd like to see a view from the other side. it does look like you could either move the studs around or put new ones in. Thanks.

If it makes enough HP to need a 9", it will make enough to break adapters?

with it being a floater, i didn't think the adapters would be susceptible to that much force.

I have a 9" floater with 5 on 5" too, I plan on redrilling it to 5 on 4 3/4".
I bought some Coleman half inch thick aluminum wheel spacers, they are CNC machined so are accurate. They have both 5 on 5 and 5 on 4 3/4" bolt circles. I plan on slipping them over the existing studs and using them as a drill guide for the new holes. The 5/8" studs are also too large for aftermarket wheels so I'll either use 12mm studs or half inch studs.
I plan on making hardened steel inserts for the 4 3/4" circle holes in the spacer to center the smaller drill properly.

My reason is, I want to share wheels with this car and my other cars.

Thanks for the input. Moser will redrill for the floater hubs for $70. i take delivery of the rear end next Saturday, so I will go from there. Are you actually using the spacer for a spacer, or more as a template for the new pattern?
