No good 15" tires around anymore, how bout drag radials on all four corners, it would "Street Legal" and sticky, will this work, has anyone tried it??

A friend of mine from the T-Bird club runs Nitto 555 drag radials on all 4 corners of his T-Bird Super Coupe, on the street. No issues he's run in to that I'm aware of.

yea but if your looking for it to be a corner carver beware DRs SUCK for fast turning the side walls were not built for that...

They don't sell the old style Drag Radial anymore. The new style has better sidewall, but I'd not want to be using them on the front, or to turn corners. Nitto makes a lot of sizes for autocrossers, just not sure of the 15 inch sizes.

Why not use a tire made for that purpose?

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires come to mind. Soft 'n sticky...treadwear rating of 80. I believe BFG was also coming out with a DOT sticky tire.

I would love too, do you know of anyone who makes a 275-60-15 or 255-60-15 in a sticky "g machine" tire??

Hi everybody! I know this is a really old post but is their any new info or suggestions? do the new drag radials corner well? new "stickys" in 15" street legal tires? for good prices?

Have you checked out Hoosier's site latey? I'd think they'd still carry 15" sizes in something sticky.

they have the R6/A6 that are "DOT" But has anyone actually driven them on the street? Hoosier seems to not want you to drive them on the street.

Having driven those on the track, IMO you would not want to do so on the street. The tread pattern is pretty much photocopied on to the carcass, once you drive a bit they are a slick with two grooves. The construction is extremely stiff, they are basically built as a race tire would be.

Yokohama makes a number of good tires in 15"
