I just read a mag and there was some writing of what strange stuff people have found in their cars so I thought I'd ask if any of you have found anything strange or funny while taking your car apart.

I found enough coins for a couple of beers, a nice silver lighter and a screwdriver in my van and some more coins and an old sparkplug in my Chevelle.

my buddy found a dynamite stick when he cut out the corner of the cab on his 57 pickup!

While working on installing an 8" suspension lift on my roommate's 71 suburban a friend accidentally missed his target with the 5 lb. BFH, subsequently knocking a chunk of filler off the inner fender area and revealing a coffee cup that had worked its way down into the fender in front of the front wheel. There was also a spark plug from who knows when, might have even been original.

I had a 78 TA that was a treasure trove of goofy stuff. It had a bunch of miscellaneous bullets in it, a owners manual for a breathalyzer machine, and a redneck love letter. It was hilarious, talking about how some girl's sister gave better blowjobs than her and how the three of them should run away for the weekend and all.

Yeah not fun.

Apparently the guy crawled into the van while I was out surfing. Took one last hit of crack and died.

I got out of the water and tried to shove my board into the back of the van through the liftgate. Found it odd that the board didn't go in as far as it should, and made a dull thud (against his skull) rather than the sharper sound of fiberglass hitting steel.

I opened the side door and there he was, sprawled out on the floor of the van. He hadn't "emptied" himself (thank god) but he was still warm. So I called 911 on my cell and began CPR. The cops, paramedics and county lifeguards showed up about 5min later and he still hadn't revived. The medics took over and one of the cops said, "That was really nice of you to attempt to do that, but honestly, you should not have bothered."

One of the county lifeguards told him, "He's in the Coast Guard, that's what they do pal."

There was a short investigation. The lifeguards knew the guy as he lived in the kiawe near the beach. They knew he was a hard case and in their deposition said that I'd been in the water from 2hrs before to 1hr after the TOD. End of story.

Had some buddies cutting the quarter-panels off of a mid-80's Monte Carlo with a plasma cutter. Some .22's had fallen down in the valley near the tail light and things got exciting for a second.:machine:

I found a Klan flyer in a '72 Nova I bought it N. Georgia. There was also a letter from the county saying the guy owed 5K in unpaid child support.

In my mustang I found baby diapers, hay, and chicken eggs. I think they were raising chickens in the trunk.

almost forgot this one:

found a thumb one time. Helped my uncle out in a junkyard in the summer. I was stripping an s-10 blazer (free parts for me) that looked like it had hit a telephone poll and rolled 3-4 times. Popped the rear hatch, and there lay a thumb. No bone, just the skin. Imagine that had to hurt. Scared the **** out of me for a second.
