I Have A 70 Camaro With A Ls1/t56. I Was In And Running And Complete At One Point In Time. I Decided To Have The Car Painted At The Same Time I Changed The Subframe With Another 70 Frome That I Had Powedercoated And Etc. I Go To Put The Engine Back In And It Does Not Sit On The Frame Brackets At All. Only One Side Or The Other. Any Ideas What It Could Be. Sb Brackets Different From Bb??? Any Help I Appreciate, Thanks.

Are you sure it is not a Firebird subframe which would have Pontiac mounts? Did you align the subframe with the alignment holes right under the firewall or did you just eye ball it? Could be something very simple. Wish I could help more.

i pulled it off of a 1970 camaro everything lined up correctly. the engine mounts just dont line up on the frame brackets.

There are a couple of different frame stands that are used. I'm not sure if there are 2 or 3. 350, 350 with Z28 and 396, and I think 307 cars may be seperate too. Change the steel stands back to the others and it'll fit.

That's right, they did do that. I thought it was only on the later corporate years that they had the multiple frame mount locations.

The upper rubber mounts are the same from 69-73 with 307, maybe the lowers are the same too. You should ask over at Nasty-Z28.com
