Rear Vette Dana 44 cover vs Viper rear cover

Are they the same other than the overall width? I don't car so much about that because I am wanting to put one in a car other than a vette.

yes, 44 bolt pattern is the same. pn 5012937AA

No time in the near future. I have a D44 from a Vette that I wanted to eventually put in the Monte. But one of the "ears" of the batwing is bent & a new/used one runs about $750, for just the cover.

According to www.chryslerpartsdirect.com (http://www.chryslerpartsdirect.com), the covers are $485.00 MSRP, but they sell them for $378.30.
