Hey gents. I have been lurking for awhile so I decided to join. Just have to say I love the work that I have seen on the all of the cars. It has been time ... for a long time, that this movement was pushed into the limelite like it is now. Yes those numbers matching, factory correct, right down to the turd that someone at the factory left under the rear seat because they were to lazy to walk to the bathroom guys might scoff...... Only because they are ok with poor handling, even worse brakes , and downright (in some cases) poor quality work. Don't flame me just MHO.
I am sure I will be asking some questions and reading lots of old threads....
My project is a 70........ Cuda. Yes another Cuda. Looking at a complete tear down 3 or 4 link in the rear, new suspension up front, caged, 440 powered twin turbo beast. I have tons of love for the Hemi but want to try a 440.
Anyway good job, on the site and all the content.
Thanks, Ramon.

Yeah, not many factory correct nuts'n'bolts guys here. There are some but they also understand they are two different flavors and it's OK to like both.
What are some more in depth plans for your car? Don't worry about the 440 vs. Hemi thing. I'll let yo in on a little secret, you can tune a stock 440 to whoop a stock Hemi.
I am a Mopar guy but I'm not drinking the big block Kool-Aid and I'm not convinced the 426 Hemi is the end all, be all. If I were to go big block it would be the lightest BB, the 400 stroked big by a 440source.com kit.
Good to have you here, welcome to Pro-touring.

Thanks for the response.
"it's OK to like both." You are absolutely right there is a time an place for both.
More in depth..... Well I picked up a new Fab 9 rear end, aluminum strange center section with 389 gears, four link the rear. Front suspension maybe XV kit. Still up in the air on the tranny thing, was thinking 5 or six speed or the 727 trans I have with a Gear Vendors set-up behind it and maybe a paddle shifter kit from Twist Machine(anyone have expierience with these?).
I have a 69 440 bored 60 over.... unassembled. I need to do some more research on that 439ci small block I just ran acrossed. Definately want fuel injection most likely a custom set-up run by a F.A.S.T. computer.
TD04 turbo's, large front mount intercooler...... the list goes on and on.
Still up in the air on alot of things. Just finished up with our last project so it is time to plan the next. I am open to any ideas as I am a newbie at this and hate doing thing twice. I will check out 440source.com and see what they have. Not stuck on the 440 just have one so I figured I might put it to good use.
Thanks again

welcome....... another mopar fan.... well mopar guys have to be some of the biggest and backwards bunch of people i have ever met! just recently i went to a show with my charger, well it took all about 2 minutes after i parked my car to have some old bone head peaking under my hood and started blabbing his mouth (real loud ) that i riuned the car by NOT putting a ORIGINAL HEMI in it. This bone head just doesnt believe that "modern " motors belong in old cars. This forum is where the entire industry will head. you will always have those gear heads that want it oem stcok with correct everything that they are affraid to drive cause of devalueing the car. man these guys are really missing it. i have submitted my car to a numerous magazines and they all look at my ride like without a comment. kinda gets me confused sometimes but i love mt ride i drive it hard, get great gas mileage, have a/c and a cranking stereo....ohhh did i mention its reliable and it stops and turns? amazing thumbs up too all the guys/gals here!!!!!! post your pics on your twin turbo set up... i would love to see it. https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif

For small block stuff contact Ryan J. at Shady Dell Speed Shop in PA. He is collaborating with a company ?World? or somebody about getting an iron and alluminum aftermarket SB Mopar out by Feb. 08. Supposed to be better than the MP R3 OR R5 race blocks. It is BIG, BIG stuff for SB Mopar guys, revolutionary actually.

Hey Auto... nice to see you around another forum ---
Spooled... welcome to the site... I am a fellow Mopar-ite myself... currently working on a 1968 Charger with a EFI 512" stroker, tremec 5-speed, and a fair amount of suspension work. There are ALOT of knowledgable guys here - if you need any help just ask around.

Welcome. I am in the middle of a 72 Charger build, talk about a step child....hehe
Thats ok, I like thinking outside the box.
If you want the latest in cool design as far as the frontend goes and a very simple three link setup that you don't have to reinvent, check out XVmotorsports. I have their complete setup going on my car and really like the quality of work, design and appearance of their parts.

The 2nd gen Hemi is quite the engine, especially if your spinning it over 5000 rpm all the time. For a street engine there are better choices. Thumbs up for going the wedge route!

Thanks, yeah this one has taken way too long, but we are making progress. I seem to tear the other two cars up and have to get them fixed too often...lol
I had hoped to christen the Charger at XVmotorsports event next month, but it is just not going to be ready by then. However, if they have another one in the spring, we will be there. This car will not be as showy as the goat, and will probably be christened at a track, not SEMA....lol
I am really looking forward to finishing it and putting it thru it's paces. Stay tuned.......

WOW..... That is the best welcome I have had, from all the sites that I am apart of. It is very much appreciated.
I to have had a few run-ins with the #'s matching crowd, The guy was ragging on the guy's challenger because he was running a blaster coil instead of the correct one..... So I called him an idiot. Needles to say he was pissed and turned his "affection" to me. :Alchy:I just laughed at him and walked off. I had never seen anybody get so worked up over a coil..... funny stuff.
Anyway, those pictures are enough to give anyone insparation.... awesome job gents!!!:hail::hail:
Mine is yet to get underway.... Damn car I am working on now is sweet but getting parts is like pulling teeth on a T-REX. Oh well almost done so we can sell it and finance the next one:6gears:. Thanks again for all the info. I will keep you guys updated on the progress. Keep up the awesome work. That black Cuda makes me droole alittle....... alot.

Agreed. I had totally lost interest in muscle cars for a long time and moved over to the import(not Hondas) side until I caught wind of this site. Glad to be back.

The car I just finished up with is a 1992 Nissan Skyline GTR. Twin turbo, all wheel drive, four wheel steering, right hand drive, 50 state legal. All kinds of goodies in it. I have been taking it out for a few shakedown runs this week and everything is coming together nicely.
As far as pics you can either see Pics of the Cuda in the back fourty(in its state of disarry)... Or I can post a few of the skyline( Japaneese muscle car).... For those of you that don't know about these cars, they are extremely rare in the US, they were never sold here and only about 35 R32's(legal ones) in the US. Stock motors will handle about 750 hp.. not bad for a inline 6 rice burner, huh? I have even been given the thumbs up from guys in muscle cars, as they see it on the road.
I have also messed around with a few Supras and My favorite, Porsche 928.
Anyway thanks again.

damn, how do you go from that to the Cuda?
You don't.......... Unless you build the cuda up to handle and perform like it should.
The Skyline is truly amazing car. We have had it for six years, and all it's done is go up in value. So time to move on. This car belongs to someone that has a full road corse near them. The closest thing I have is a 6 hour drive one way to get to a track. The streets and back roads are fun but, before long Johnny Law is watching you all the time, and the thrill is gone.
When they build the purposed War Eagle speedway up here, I will buy one for track purposes only and build the hell out of it.
As soon as it stops pouring I will take some pics and post them up. Thanks for the welcome Tony.

skylines are sick, I like most anything that nissan does. your cuda sounds neat.
there is room to appreciate all of it. I spent some time w/ GTIs, american muscle, I like it all. I'm following a build on another forum, guy putting a twin turbo 300ZX V6 in a mazda MPV!
as for the OEM vs. modified, well, there is a place for both. I'm all for modded older cars, EXCEPT when a pristine survivor is cut up. once it's done, you can't go back.

I went to Okinawa, Japan for about 6 months and made friends with some other military people that were stationed full time there. I rode in an R32 and a modded Soarer and some others. Fun cars for sure, they're on another level than "ricers".

I am back! (not that anyone missed me lol)
After putting the Cuda on the back burner for a few years I am back in full force, and ready to get this project underway. I hadn't realized it had been so long,
I resurrected the old girl from it slumber place and put her in the shop.
