Hey Guys, im trying to do some homework to find out if anybody knows of a company/companies that make Rack and Pinion Steering Kits for a 1968-72 Nova. I doesn't matter if they are power or manual and although I would prefer to keep the frame modification to a minimum i dont mind if the kit requires modification (if they make on that doesnt require any, thats great too). Thanks in advance for any info./help.

Unisteer, BRP http://www.brphotrods.com/Power%20rack.html. are you new here? Welcome to the site.

Instead of spending the money on stuff not quite perfected yet, I'd spend it on a Lee's 670 box from ATS or SC&C.

Only proper way to have rack on your car is to design a frame for it.

No, Im not new here. I was leaning toward the Lee's box, but whats the difference between the 670 and the 800 series box's, are they physically the same?

I agree, the R&Ps out there still need work. Most are hard pressed to work as well (?) as stock.
The Lee boxes are fantastic and much less expensive too. The 800 and 670 are functionally identical. The 670 is slightly smaller in some respects (although not dramatically so) and about 6lbs. lighter. The 800 series can be used with your stock rag joint (IF it`s good,if not Lee makes a high perf. one for it). The 670 uses a smaller input shaft and so requires a hybrid rag joint That may be a convenient excuse to upgrade to a Lee high performance rag joint (uses a tougher/firmer rubber disc) too though... :naughty: Mark SC&C

So either of the boxes 670 or 800 will bolt right up to my Nova? (except for the rag joint on the 670)

Do I need to change/upgrade my pump or lines to use either of your boxes??
