What would be the best system to upgrade my front discs?? I' running Centerline Convo Pro 15" rims. A simple caliper upgrade would be nice. But if I need to do the complete rotor caliper deal so be it.

How do you intend to drive the car? Since your sig looks like a drag car, you're best bet would probably be to upgrade to some quality aftermarket pads and rotors and braided stainless hoses. You might be surprised how much performance you can get out of your stock brakes.

There are some offerings by SSBC for caliper swaps...not really a fan though. You could swap over to the C3 Corvette 4-piston caliper setup like used on the Z28 Camaro's of the era, which could be a better option if you wanted to compete in certain vintage racing classes. Wilwood has some 4-piston kits as well on 12.19" rotors that may fit, depending on your wheels. I'm sure there are others as well.

Without increasing your wheel diameter to 17's, your options are somewhat limited and big-brake kits are out of the question.

Car wil be a pro street/drag car. But will also be driven on the rode as a good weather car. So I do want to have a decent brake setup. I may have to look into the C3 setup. Probaly not that big of a deal to do.

Wilwod also has their GM III calipers. Light weight direct replacements for my stock single piston calipers.

Thanks...

Ok here's the final shot at this ...

I curently have stock single caliper brakes in the front. I have 15" Convo Pro rims. I'm wondering about upgrading my brakes. I see three options.

1. Let it as it is

2. Upgrade to Wilwood GM III calipers. Basically $100 each on eBay

3. Upgrade to C3 brakes. But I can't seem to find much info on this.

Also, I have heard that a 12" C4 setup may work on 15" wheels. Anyone ever installed C4 brakes on a first gen with 15" convo pro rims ???

To shed some light on the C3 upgrade, you would need to find either original or repro stamped steel brackets to mount the C3 4-piston calipers and then either the integral hub/rotor or the C3 rotor and drum hub combination. The calipers are not cheap and you would be into it well over the GMIII calipers, so if the vintage aspect holds no appeal to you, it's probably not the best idea.

You might call Baer with respect to whether a C4 kit variant would work with your wheels. I assume they have fitment templates available, but haven't actually looked yet. Needless to say, if it does fit, it won't be cheap.

Thanks for the extra input Apogee. I think I'll stick with my stock calipers to start. Then see if I need to upgrade to the GM III calipers.
