hey everyone just needed to brag about my little 5 yr old princess.Drag week passed through rockford today and had to take a pic at the speedway. my buddies are participants, and called to let me know the days itinerary. so i got off work, picked up my daughter after school and hustled to the speedway to watch the cars. my little girl stood out in the rain for two hours, clapping , cheering and throwing the devils horn to all the participants. she never complained about the rain, or the sub 60 degree temps, nothing. she just kept smiling and waving, telling guys she liked there cars etc. a couple of cars let her stand in front of there cars for there pics, chatted with her, returned the horns, made some noise, spun the tires. she had a blast i was so proud of her. Hey Rupp have any pull at hot rod, get one of those pics into the mag. she was such a trooper it would make her day to see herself in front of a car in one of daddies magazines. how bout it Steve, can you hook up a little super trooper girl, in pink. i truly appreciated the guys were willing to take a second to make a little girl smile. a couple of aussies came over and really took some time with her , and gave her a couple of aussie coins. then the leader in the fast car of the day yucked it up with her a little. there were plenty of "hard a..es" and she didnt understand but those guys that were there for the adventure were awesome. she made me proud to be so excited about the cars. sorry for the rant, thanks for looking. Dan,
Thats awesome.
Obviously you have a great relationship with your daughter and she loves to hang with dad.
Several years ago I took my oldest to the Kruse auction when he was about 7 years old. I was looking to buy and he probably crawled under about 20 different cars with me over about a 5 hour period of time. I felt the same way you did.
Proud!
