Anyone have pros and cons for underdash mastercylinders with remote resoivoirs. I am looking to install a wilwood pedalset in a 71 mustang and was advised by wilwood that a reverse action set of pedals and resoivoirs is the way to go. I intend to go with a dual MC setup and convert the automatic car to manual. I would put the MCs in the engine bay but don't know if there is room

Con: A pain to fill the reseviors. Big pain.

I have mine on the firewall side (Wilwood pedal assembly). It's a great setup, you'll love it. I can see how it may be tight in some applications. Mine is extremely tight with the LS engine, and had to relocate one ignition coil.

I agree that there is no way I would place the resevoir under the dash. I was under the impression that you could mount the resevoirs in the engine bay or wherever; independant of where the MC was actually located whith the remote setup. Am I mistaken?

Oh, I see what you're saying. Yes, you can do that. Have the MC inside the dash, but have bulkheads in the firewall to pass fluid through into the reseviors. That'd be a pretty clean installation.

Foward mount would still be far easier for changing MC's and repairs though.

Sorry, not doubting your word, just going by what Wilwood suggested. You think I'll have room in the enginge bay for all three MCs?

I have absolutely no idea. I did, but that's a completely different application.
