Hello everyone. I am new to the board so to speak. I have been a member with out posting for a while now.

I figured it was time to post up since I traded my 2000 Z28 Turbo Shop car for a 72 Z28 (clone) roller and some cash. The 72 is set up more as a drag car. That was the intention I had with the car. I have been thinking about making the car a more all around performer. You guys know the deal. Wicked Acceleration, Braking Handling, and looks.

The car already has some nice pieces. Though they are more drag oriented. It has Strange coil overs up front and drag shocks out back all adustable. Tubular upper and lower front a-arms. Wilwood front disc brakes and Strange rear disc brakes. It has a factory width bolt in 9 inch rear. It has a nice 10pt cage and super nice interior except for the steering wheel.

I was thinking maybe do a nice Turbo charged Blow Thru BBC setup (being I own and operate a custom turbo shop), a 6 speed trans, and nice suspension. Top it off with some nice whleels, tires, and brakes. I have alot to learn about this building aspect. I am comming from a heavy small tire drag racing background.

Here are soem current pics of the car:

Welcome to the posting realm of the site, heh. That Camaro looks nice as is, should be killer with the mentioned upgrades. Best of luck on the build.

Yeah the Camaro went 8.60's in the 1/4 with a stroked BBC and a 250 shot. All my buddies want me to build a mid 8 second turbo street strip car. I have most of the parts to go that route. I just want to be able to drive the car. Being a turbo car it will have a 3.50 gear so I guess I could look into a 4L80E with a full manual valve body. At leats that would give me some driveability on the highway.

The steering wheels is the first thing being replaced. It was like that when I got the car.

The steering wheels is the first thing being replaced. It was like that when I got the car.I can only imagine why that was done. I can tell by your plans it will be better in your hands. As Ralph said, welcome to the posting side!
