I've been thinking I was going with a DSE quadra link set (or simular like G bar) up with mini tubs. I'm looking at purchasing a car that has Airbar 4 link already installed. In the front I was hoping for a front clip set up. This car has the strong arms in front (i believe that is what it's called) set up.
Would anyone like to compare the two set ups for me. I really don't know much about the Air Ride stuff. Every thing I read is good however.

Goal of the car is driver with a low, wide tire stance that can out handle most things on the street with the motor to match. It'll see some track time but not so much.
Thanks

Oh ya the car is a 69 Camaro...

Not too many people can say that they have direct access to two cars--one Air Ride Street Challenge car, one DSE Speed 3/Quadra link car. The convertible (DSE) has SFC's while the coupe (Air Ride) does not. Both cars have similar wheel and tire combos. Both have ATS spindles and upgraded steering. I hop out of one car and into the other on a regular basis.

Now that I've laid the foundation:
I would say the two systems are dead even. Maybe the Air Ride car has a slight advantage, but it is a coupe. So it is a bit lighter. I find the spring rate on the DSE car is a bit soft. Maybe it is just soft for a convertible. When powering out of a corner, the DSE car has a bit more roll than the Air Ride car. I want to try a bigger front sway bar on the DSE car before moving to higher rate springs. In the meantime, the Air Ride car is a bit more confidence inspiring.

I'm splitting hairs though. The two cars are very similar. Rule out weight and chassis stiffness and I'll bet that the comparison becomes a dead heat. Come to New York and I'll be happy to give you a test ride in both cars. No you can't drive. And no, I don't care which one is better "on paper".

Sounds good thanks for the feed back. The more I read about the Airride stuff the more impressed I become.
