Anyone know what plastic they used to make the grills on a 1970 GTO? I need to weld up a set.

Its made from this crap material available in the 70's called crackamatium. Unfortunatly it didn't hold up well to air, sunlight and them creepy stuffed kids they lean on show cars.

But seriously after a couple broken RS and Cuda grills I have found that Eastwood makes a great plastic repair kit. Works well on most plastics used back then. Dash clusters too. Didn't work on newer car plastics.

Well a grill is something you cook on and a grille is on the front of your car. Maybe they just read the title and thought you were trying to fix your Weber?
