Very nice. I noticed you are still planning on doing some color sanding. Is that a one stage paint or a two stage paint that still doesn't have the clear coat?

thanks to all,
the paint is a 2K from sikkens with clear coat finish. i blow 1 Gallone clear coat over the olds:pat: today i started with 1500 sandpaper and last is tomorrow 2000 sandpaper. for finishing i start with a polishing machine
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
and 3M compound in two steps, wild to mild. last but not least i use the 3M finishing polish

no not all but the olds 350 is probably the best of all the gm 350s built
im a buick guy myself

and its just cooler to be different and not run the same old 350 small block that every other car has
i would have kept the buick 231 and slapped a turbo on it then would be pretty much like having a gnx engine

Don't worry about it not being an Olds motor. My '72 didn't have an engine when I bought it, and I had a 454 Chevy sitting under a bench. You can guess what happened next!

Wow,
Looks great Klaus!
Don't forget to take a detail brush to all of the gaps and
seams to get all of the polishing wax out. That color is a
good one.I can see that Christiane is very happy with it.
No more cold garage for Klaus right? lol..:twothumbs

hi jim,
thanks to you !
yeep, christiane is very happy with her Olds and the bodywork.
and...with the new engine:yum:
allway when we go with 5 or 6 or more cars to a car show in germany over the german autobahn, the olds is always the last and the slowest:machine:
in the future we can go faster:drive1:
