Satchell link system for a second gen?

Found this while thumbing through my latest issue of High Performance Pontiac.

So is it just called a satchell link because the guys name is Satchell or what? Looks to be a pretty neat system. I would think it could work well given all the bracing. Price doesn't seem to bad either. What do you guys that have way more knowledge than me think about this?

Short answer is that it's nothing more than a variation of the converging/triangulated 4-link that has a more cornering-friendly mix of roll center height and anti-squat. The rest is in the details. For example, doing up a Satchell in all poly bushings will bind it up just as badly as doing the same would affect a factory-original A/B/G/Fox/SN95 rear suspension. Short upper links in a Satchell are associated with more rapidly varying axle roll steer (not really a good thing).

The general concensus on Satchell links (named after Terry Satchell) is that they can work very well but can be difficult to package as well,even in a purpose built race car. Stuffing one into an envelope that was intended for something totally different, plus retaining the stock floor, rear seat and trunk inevitably leads to lots of compromises like less than ideal angles and really short links that cause rapid geometry changes. HDR is right down the road from us and a friend of mine is head of their upholstery shop. I should stop in and check it out just for fun. Mark SC&C

I saw several installed on second gen. T/A and firebird at a booth during the Year One Event. It appeared to me to decrease ground clearance more than sub frame connectors. Actually I thought it sacrificed ground clearance too much for my comfort.JMO for what its worth.
