I think I toasted my TH350 .............Help Please !

Hey All,

Well I think my little abused th350 is starting to puke on me.

Here is what is happening -

I launch out of the hole in first , hit second (everything Normal) ,

THEN AS SOON AS I HIT 3rd - It feels like the brakes are on , the car slows way down , and if im on the gas ,smoke bellows out.

It feels real restrictive almost like the brakes are applied. It only feels this way in 3rd. If i throw her in N she frees up and starts coasting real well.

Put it back in 2nd , everything is good.





So i slipped it back into 2ed and limped 25 miles home going 25mph last nite.

anybody have ideas for me , they would be helpfull.

I don't remeber all it broke but, I've done that before. The trans stays in two gears at once, fighting each other. It is possible your valvebody is just stuck somewhere, but mine was very broken!

Its wierd cuz 1 & 2nd are normal .

I agree with HILROD. it sounds like a valve body issue. id drop it and check the springs and passages to make sure nothings clogging it.
