I normally don't post cars at crazy prices for sale and rip on them, but come on! You can buy a TT 997 fully loaded and soup the snot out of it for this kind of money. It's not even fuel injected! Edelbrock carbs!!:scared:
I have seen multiple cars lately on ebay for way over $100k. Does someone actually buy this stuff? People are crazy to think the cars are worth this. Nice car, but seriously!
Edit: I did not mean to offend any crack users.

even funnier he say.."frame off restoration" those cars dont got no frames!!
I asked him if he would replace the sagging driver's side leaf spring for the $100,000.00 price. He replied "This car is out of your league, my reserve is $175,000.00" I replied "It is out of the real world's league!" I really hate to sterotype anyone but, he is from CT.

It's a marketing ploy. The add attracts a lot of attention (like getting posted on this forum and many others) and from that huge crowd they may find someone interested in the car and negotiate a more reasonable price outside of eBay.
I have also seen "restoration shops" use this ploy to associate themselves with high quality, high dollar builds. Which in turn can get them new business. The purpose of the ad may not even be to sell the car.

Yes, it's not considered "advirtising" for a shop to put an outrageous price on a car they built.
Think Troy even had to do that? LOL!

thats pretty much the case..........although he does sell the cars for quite a lot more money than you would think its reasonable.
the shop is in my town so i swung by to check it out, saw a camaro they were building and a chevelle, both were already sold thanks to the ebay ads.
he said people browsing ebay see the ad, fly out to see the car, and purchase outside of ebay.

I think they invented crack and are still the biggest customers...
I think some of these prices, especially the Camaro, are being set because of what Foose/Year One and Motion are charging for their 'new' cars. Some people think that because those cars go for $175k, theirs should too. Same as what happens right after Barrett Jackson airs every year. Every POS on the planet is now worth $40k because a similar but professionally done BJ-sold car went for $70k.
Can't explain the Lincoln other than the marketing angle already noted. Or because a couple of athletes who own them said on some TV show how much their teammates would want one, so they're going for deep pockets where $100k is week's pay (or less).

My personal opinion is that they are awaiting for a big oil tycoon or a big dollar arab who thinks to himself " i want this , and I want it now" .
Money is not an issue for some.
I wouldent know about that.

I think you're exactly right. They don't realize, there no Foose.

Putting a high price on a car is how the Ferrari and Corvette market of the late 1980's developed. A few high profile dealers bought cars, pimped the price and the car and ultimately sold the car. Everyone else saw it happen and all us a sudden the high dollar collector car business we know today developed!

for one things are worth what people pay for it ,if someone is willing to buy the car then the owner scored , what you think is a sh@#ty deal might be a great deal to someone like say bill gates !!lol!

Quality has nothing to do with it. People buy for the Foose name. So they can tell their buddies it's a "Foose" car.
