So it's the morning of January 1st and my Mom and my Aunt head downtown to the Greektown Casino and try their luck (as it is a New Years tradition for them since the casinos opened). Like always they are over at the 'Let It Ride' poker table and have pooled their money together. They get their 3 cards....

- 10 of Spades
- Jack of Spades
- Queen of Spades

Turn card comes........Ace of Spades

River.......King of Spades.

Mass hysteria insues, screaming, hollering, crying, laughing. The dealer said it was the first royal flush he'd seen at that table since the casino opened. When the smoke clears they both walk away with $50,000 of Greektown's money. What a way to start the new year. After taxes they were both left with a little more than 17 grand a piece. Yesterday my Wife and I and the kids went over to have dinner with them and celebrate and before I go to leave she hands me an envelope with a chunk of money in it and says, "my contribution to your little project in the garage". Thanks Mom!

I just got off the phone with Stacy over at DS&E. 3" dropped rear leaf springs and shackle kit are on their way. :icon996:

I'm sure they've heard about all the congrats they can stand already - so I'll congratulate you instead on your personal good fortune.

Ty...not until Summer. The car is getting color and there'll be a mess load of pictures to share as I'm doing it myself. And of course in addition to the pictures I'm sure there will be plenty of 'lessons learned' to share as well. Right now there's a lot of grinding, welding, and fitting going on in the garage. Pretty boring stuff.

She gave me a $1000. And believe me, I was dreaming of all sorts of parts I could have bought. New rims, Control Arms, Covans Classics gauge cluster. But in the end I decided it was best not to get side-tracked and put the money towards getting the car done.

ALL - I'm seriously debating on whether or not to mini-tub and stuff 315s under the back of my 72 Formula... or just go with 285/40/18s
out back with 245/45/17s up front. My car will retain it's original 400
updated this spring with ported 70 GTO Ram Air #13 heads and a Bullet
custom ground cam. This new "combo" will put the motor up to an honest 425hp (I may add a NOS Top Shot "just in case.") A 2500-3000 stall is also planned with this new combo in the current TH350. Future plans call for a TCI 200R with a 2500 stall... the car will be a driver.
Let me know your thoughts on the 315s and the mini-tub...
