Where i live it's the coolest thing ever to have a donk, box or bubble. THe worst thing is, is that if they were done right it wouldn't be to bad. What the people don't get when they do this is they are completely ruining the steering geometry and ability to even go at any sort of speed safely.

The only way to really do it correctly would be to take the car frame off and find a truck frame of equal wheelbase length and transfer it over that way none of the geometry would be messed up and this would allow you to lift the vehicle and put whatever size wheels your heart desires on it. of course you'll need to upgrade the brakes to compensate for the extra rotating mass.

Oh the mags do sell unless you live in Omaha somewhere....All depends on where u at.I dont like that ride height on a car but on a S10 or a CK truck Id have no problem. They do have nice engines in most of em...

Ya I thought that would get a rise, I have a old limo that I hate, it’s my business partners choice. It's a promo car we drive people around in and party it sucks(besides the party). It was suggested to Donk it... be the first limo.... at least in my area. After I stopped laughing at the 'Donk,' I thought it would get a lot of attention. I hate that car.

(and oh ya look at my sig. I even like Corvairs!)

"even" corvairs. You say that like they are a bad thing! LOL.
We're never gonna win over the V8 guys this way.

Donking a limo would be a bad idea on many levels. The frame and suspension is already stressed enough without lifting the car. Couple that with the brake problems and you have a real recipe for disaster from a "license to carry passengers" point of view.

I got a better idea, I think if that's your plan you might as well do the poor thing a favor and tow it out to the middle of Lake Superior on a barge and push it off. LOL!!!

All donk cars should die.

The biggest problem I have with these donks is the dorks who screw up the suspension. Take the time to make the wheel wells big enough for the wheels/tires, add some truely huge brakes, and leave the damn suspension geometry alone. Such a combo may even have a chance of looking half decent.

Sorry Monza...I was just trying to be funny, no harm meant. Of course do what you want, it's your car. Actually if done nicely, you might be able to get some limo business from people who like those things. It could work out to your advantage.

And when you're done with it call me and we'll pack it full of C4 and blow the 'sum bitch out to Jupiter.

All in good fun... Just looking at F'n up a car i HATE already. It's a advertising thing people would not understand at all...thats a good thing.

To do it right would cost to much I think, so I'll just have to keep laughing at the donK.

I don't think it would be a bad idea for advertising. Pretty cool billboard actually. I would just think twice about taking a customer out for a ride in it. With the stock size ball joints (and everything else) and the extra stress from the leverage and freaking huge 70 lb tires and wheels. IMO that is asking for failure. BUT, it would be a cool billboard! LOL!

I think Donks are stupid. But I'm thinkin a donk limo would be really cool and a good way to advertise. It would deffinatly stick in peoples minds! but if you do it please dont give it some ugly lime green and orange paint like I've seen on some. But non the less a donk limo would be something cool to see.

The only way to really do it correctly would be to take the car frame off and find a truck frame of equal wheelbase length and transfer it over...

I disagree... the fact that its a car has nothing to do with anything...

as long as you change out or modify your A-arms and springs so that everything will travel the distance its NO differant than lifting a 2wd truck with a "whiplash" lift kit

the 5" lift cups... now thats ghetto! I say go for it, but if your gonna do it then do it right... extended A-Arms, lift springs, extended LCA's longer shocks, etc etc etc...

I'm building STRICTLY to make a profit... these cars bring big money out here in the bay! :fingersx:
