I somehow managed to keep the camera focused on the car despite the fact that the scaffolding that I was filming from was knocked back 5 feet.

I keep telling them, they need 2 rows of straped tires before the wall.
Glad your ok. nice catch.
amazing filming.
maybe this will prompt another wall or tire setup there.
Glad the tower didn't fall!

Yikes!!! Glad you're OK, Geoff.
Hey...are you still involved with Robot Chicken or did you move on?

Not bad. You could have jumped off the platfrom at the point of impact, did a ninja-like somersault in the air and landed on the other side of the car--all while keeping the camera trained on the car. But this will do.

Actually if you watch the video carefully you can see my buddy to the right jump off the scaffolding. I personally felt I would be safer staying put, and other then a little smoke and dust, I came out fine.
After the crash they added a second row of k-rail and a 3-tire barrier.
No longer with Robot Chicken, but a few of my buddies are still over there. I did get credit for the recent Star Wars Episode, so that was cool.
