I have never really had to do much body work before. I am finally putting my 68 RS/SS back together and man does it suck. I bought all my body panels from Classic Industries, and reused some of my old parts. Some of the new pieces don't want to work with the originals, or even with some of the other new pieces. Being an RS the new fenders have RS headlight mounting tabs and normal headlight tabs. i didn't notice the originals, so i cut them off, then i remounted the fender again and now i realize there is a flange that gets in the way of some of the RS headlight trim, so now i have to take it all off again. :seizure: Props to you guys that do this all the time.:worship:

I'll gladly accept the props I think that's why you see so many projects that are either for sale or just stay unfinished. It takes an unreal amount of patience on some jobs. I can't count the number of people I have worked with over the years that just can't deal with the stress on certain jobs I've had to finish up for them.

I found out you guys = God. It takes thousands of hours to make a car look right. No dispute, no argument over cost involved either.

We are not God like at all. But we do take a lot of pride in what we do! If its worth doing its worth doing it right. :usa:
I love the finished product.

Body work is a true test of one's patience.I can remember sanding
on the el Camino for weeks, and after getting all of the panels good
I drilled small "alignment holes" in spots,so after the finished panels
were painted, all I had to do was line up my pilot holes and it was
right on with no fit issues or chips.. I hate that!! Keep it going.
