Last nights episode had the "gang" building an El Camino for a client that apparently has many cars and two of them made the show last night. Looked like both were '70 Camaro RS Z/28's (one green, the other yellow). The owner was racing around a track like the car was on rails, man I wish mine could do that!

That looked like the green Camaro in Hot Rod a few years back that they built and took to the Silver State Challange.

I wondered what his company was, I didn't tape the show and tried to read logo on the 71 Camaro...very cool website.
Is he a member/supporter of this site?

It wasn't Hot Rod, it was Popular Hot Rodding, but you've got the right idea.
I wrote those stories and navigated car owner/builder Cam Douglass (of Optima Batteries) to wins at Silver State in the 130mph and 140mph classes in 2000 and 2001. It easily went 165mph for extended periods. That car worked very well no matter where he took it.
Amir bought the car to enjoy it, and it seems he's surely doing so. It was neat to see it on TV again.

I would have booted her a$$ a long time ago. Cry baby ***** gets on my nerves. Always crying because she isn't given "real" work to do. DUMBA$$, THAT IS BECAUSE YOU CAN'T DO THE PIDDLY WORK, LET ALONE THE REAL WORK.

Different Camerons...both really cool car guys, though.
Cameron Evans was the Editor of PHR and the host of PHRTV while I was there. He's now with Red Line Oil. He is the son of the late, great Steve Evans of NHRA Today fame.
Cam Douglass has been with Optima Batteries for many years. He's the one who built the green '71 Z28 seen on the TV show. He is a frequent competitor at the Silver State Challenge as well as many other open track and open road events.
I'm proud to know both Camerons! LOL

I'll be at SEMA and it's always cool to meet folks from PT! But, you must be warned, unless we're drinking heavily, you will think I'm a total dork.
So, be prepared to drink heavily!

I could say it better...but it wouldn't have the same effect.
Suffice to say, I agree...!

I just watched the episode where they finished the El Camino, how awesome did that car trun out. I love how they moved the motor back for better performance. The wing on the back was sweet also. I'm not a huge El Camino fan but, that car, I'm a big fan of that El Camino.
:hail:
I anyone elso has more pics of that El Camino please post them.

Yeah, but all they had to do was tune the suspension. It was fine after that.

We started talking about some cars on the show Hard Shine, Jimmy Shine of SoCal Speed Shop takes 5 people & teaches them how to build cars. There was 3 guys & 2 girls originally. I think the first girl quit on her own the first day or so. So Sarah is left, & she whines & cries about everything. Cries because she isn't given anything to do but pidly little *****. She can't do that right, so no way in h#ll would I give her anything important to do. The little piddly stuff is supposed to teach her how to do things, but she just complains about it, & when she is told she is doing something wrong & Jimmy tries to explain to her how to do it, she gets all ticked off & goes & cries to the owner of SoCal. Whah whah whah. Your outta here!
