Carbon fiber question

After looking at quite a few carbon fiber hoods on the internet and noticing that 90% of them are 'glass hoods with a layer of carbon fiber, I'm wondering if this can be done to an existing 'glass hood I already have ? I'd like one for my car for the look (I'm a squirrel I guess, LOL), I'd paint most of it and leave a stripe exposed. No one makes a CF hood for an '86 Mustang, so I was just thinking about this as an alternative. Thanks.

Im sure it could be done. Youd have to contact the compaines that off this carbon fiber hood and see if they will take your hood and add the outer layer of fiber to it. Let me know how you make out with it because I was thinking of doing the same thing with the scoop on my hood
