It's been a good week for me finding obscure stuff.

I looked but did not find where the other "here's my die-cast cars" thread went.

Found an unusual die-cast car at Tractor Supply (if you don't know what Tractor Supply is, it's a store much like the name would indicate - you'll find them in vaguely rural areas). Had to buy it immediately.

The detail is pretty good - the cinder block and hood 2x4 were included; the engine compartment is full of leaves; there's a cloth mat over the driver's seat, and the rear view mirror is on the back seat. It only cost me like 20 bucks.

The next day, I found a spiffy clock at Exxon.

The detail on the tire says it's a 245/40-18. There's a screwdriver for the minute hand and a wrench for the hours. It was only 5 bucks.

I figured they were both worth posting pics of. Perhaps I'm wrong. I thought they were cool though.

Sweet die-cast! Was that a TSC product or made by another company? If so, who's the manufacturer?

It's Motor City Classics. I looked at their website, this is the only "unrestored" car they've got. I' m hoping their 2005 catalog has a couple more.

I love "project car" die-casts. I don't really care for the Studes, but the model is just so cool.

Cool stuff, I like the clock especially. Whats the size of it, is it a desk version?

I saw a similar clock in one of my Camaro catalogs (Classic Industries I think). It was about $25 bucks, looked a bit different. I love it cuz it basically matches my wheels, so it's a must have when I get back to working on the garage. I'll check for one at an Exxon/Valero in my area.

Yeah.. it's about 4 inches in diameter. Seems to keep good time, but I don't think I would have paid 25 for it..

4" wouldn't do me any good in the garage, so I'll have to call Classic Industries about their version (which is actually priced at 39.95, so it better be bigger than 4"). It says "wall clock" so it should be big enough to easily read from across the room.

I have a wall clock like that. Not the same rim but it is about 14 inches total and has neon lights in it. $39 from Summit Racing

I found the wall clock at wal-mart for $20. It is a little over 10 1/2"
