West Coast Pro-Touring cast, we're trying to get another rally together for the weekend of Sept. 28-30! The Chevelle will have new shoes, and Dan's '68 Camaro will have that Richmond 5-speed he's been dreaming of ever since Mary smoked him in Mazda Star at Buttonwillow.

Oh man!!! That's the absolute WORST weekend for me. I have a ride available and waiting in a really competitive CP car for the Solo Nationals in Topeka, KS. While we run Tuesday and Wednesday of that preceding weekend, it's a long haul trying to get back to CA on Thursday and Friday. It all depends on if the Mustang (yes, it is a Ford so deal with it . . .) engine gets built with enough time left to get familiar with the car.

Now for Saturday and Sunday . . . the AAA/Roush-Fenway Nextel Cup display is going to be at the Salinas International Air Show and I hear that Jack Roush may attend. If so, I might have some obligation to be there as having the display come to the show was my initial idea. It wouldn't be a good thing if I blew them off to go open tracking.

Speed Ventures is also having a one-day track day at Laguna Seca on October 2nd. It's the following Tuesday. Anyone up for that??
