a Lunati cam with 235°/240° duration at .050, .490/.490 in. lift, and 112° lobe separation.

is this a good combo for a supercharger ?
motor was being built for 10.0 :1 can change to 9.0

do i need a different cam?
i would like to run an intercooler

what kind of power can i expect?
this is for a street car only

thanks for the space and anyones time who reads this

Really depends on what kind of blower you run and what power you want to make. The cam aint perfect but it will work better than some others. The LSA could be better at 114 but the 112 is ok. I can only imagine your going to either change the pistons or heads to achieve a full point drop in CR so while your there you could change the cam for one more suited to the blower.

A lot of similarities to my setup and cam. 383, solid roller 230/236 on 112LSA, 9.6:1CR, Edelbrock E-Tec 200 heads (ported), Vortech S-trim, 4L80E, frount mount intercooler, Holley single-plane MPFI with 72# injectors.

Put down 501rwhp/470rwt at 7.2# of boost.

With an good intercooler (that gets plenty of airflow through it) and up to around 12# of boost, 9.2 - 9.5:1 gives great overall performance out of a centrifugal blower. Just don't go too small. The Vortech T-trim and Procharger D1SC seem comparable. I have heard of occasional quality problems with both, and quite a few customer service issues with Procharger.

I am in the process of upgrading to the Vortech SuperQuiet T-trim. The s-trim maxes out at a rated 680fwhp (though people seem to frequently get more) and the new t-trim maxes out at a rated 825fwhp (again people report more). I'm hoping for a solid 600-630rwhp from this setup, and am adding a FJO Racing meth injection kit as insurance against detonation.

I do have a brand-new Spearco intercooler I will sell for a very good price, if interested. Pix of everything on my site - intercooler is near the bottom with dimensions.

I love my cam and setup. The Vortech SQ (superquiet helical-cut gears) make it pretty stealthy and the performance is outstanding. My numbers so far have all been on pump 91 gas.

I highly recommend Corky Bell's book "Supercharged" for anyone heading towards a blower project. It helped a lot, and paid for itself. And if you go EFI, then Jeff Hartman's book "Tuning and Modifying Engine Management Systems" was invaluable for tuning, troubleshooting and general knowledge.

Service issues with Procharger? You must have never dealt with Vortec. Service issues with Vortec are exactly what switched me to Procharger (where Ive received the best of treatment). Im not the only one who has had service issues with Vortec. If you have technical issues after you purcg
hase a Vortec unit, their pat answer is," Hey, we make superchargers, we dont install em!"
Just a feads up...
