Well I have been a part of the bowtie faithful for a long time but have switched gears and bought a 65 mustang fastback. It is going along the lines of the beginnings of a shelby clone but dont know how far I will take it. Just loved the lines on it and had to buy it. Here it is, check it out and let me know what you think good bad or anything in between..

It may be a ford and all, but early fast backs were the best looking mustangs they ever made. Should be quite a fun project. You have any plans on making it better then the SN65?

TooFun,
Did you notice your IQ shot up 20 points, chicks find you irresistible and you lost 10lbs and grew 2 inches just by owning a Ford?
Just keep that to yourself - we don't want too many Chebby guys jumping ship and ruining it for all of us Ford guys.
BTW: Nice wheels......

I guess Ford guys need all that to make up for their car not running:enguard:

Real nice. I love early Mustangs, but they scare me. No room for fat tires. I'm anxious to follow your progress. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments.. Definately a new direction for me but I love the lines of that car!! Dont know crap about ford but I am gonna learn everything I can about them. Need to get it here so I can evaluate it. What to keep what not. Plans for the short term are to swap out the rear for a 9 inch (unless the 8 thats in it can be strenthened for alot less), a stroker 347? or some other motor, tko 600 is pretty much a definate since I had one in one of my camaros, and once you have one you dont want anything else!! Other than that I am gonna look into suspension possibilities as well as some interior upgrades for pro touring comfort.
But if any of you have any ideas, comments, pros and cons, things to look out for and what not, Im all ears!! Like I said I am looking to learn everything I can on this car. Probably will pick up Tonys pro touring book as well. I think he wrote one about mustangs..
