Hey guys whats up newbie here I have a 1973 camaro with 17x8 american racing torq thrust 2s i cut around out of the coils to lower it in the front but my wheels stick out more than I want id really like to get then to tuck inside the fenderwell what would be the easiest way to achieve this ....Should I jus buy narrower wheels ...

new wheels with more back spacing , what is the BC on ther wheels you have now?

I don't get it 4.5 BC on an 8" rim can't be sticking out that far in fact that is the stock width and BC of a 78-81 WS6 wheel, got a pic?

Had the same issue and went with a 7in wheel with a 4in BS and smaller tires.

You need to sign up for the NastyZ28 forum as well.

Most guys are running a minimum of 5" backspacing with an 8" wheel. That would put the outside edge of your wheel in just about the stock position.

What are your alignment settings? If you use some alignment specs that compliment the modern wheel tire combo, it pulls the tops of the tires in a little more as well.
