General consensis is that the chassis is too narrow for a conventional rack to work. Not really worth the cost

I agree. There is no benefit to a rack on a 2nd gen. If you want steering with a great feeling go with ATS and the 670 box.

You might try contacting Howe Racing.

They modify the OEM sub frame :

with mounts:

to support aftermarket narrow racks:

They night be able to give you advise on how suitable the setup would be for street use.

Forget the Howe setup. It`s circle track only stuff. It`s not for street cars. If It was and it worked well we`d be selling it. :)
The 2nd gen`s geometry does not lend itself well to an R&P. The only company I`ve seen that has a chance to do it right is Unisteer with their center pivot rack.
These cars have really good bumpsteer characteristics stock, don`t mess with it and screw it up. Get a good Lee box, either 670 or 800 series and you`ll be super happy with the steering and you`ll have saved yourself a LOT of money and grief. :twothumbs Mark SC&C

We have a 2nd gen scheduled to get here for R&D later this year. Hopefully we will have something for the LEGIONS of 2nd gen guys who have been more than patient with us:worship:
