I am attempting to install a force 10 SSBC kit on the rear of a 1971 Nova. No matter what I do the caliper hits the shocks. SSBC swears I have the right kit. Anyoen had this problem?

Can you stagger the calipers as done with most C4/C5/C6 Corvette based and similar kits? Run the driver's side caliper in front of the axle and the passenger's side behind, using two of the same hand calipers? I'm more familiar with the C5/C6 stuff, but that's the common solution to the age old staggered shock interference problem.
Did they supply LH & RH calipers or two of one hand? Are the brackets ambidextrous so that they can be mounted forwards or backwards? FWIW, that's where I would start.

We thought about doing that but did not know how it would effect braking. The other issue with this kit is the Parking brake caliper mounts 180 off the main caliper. So even if you rotate it around then the parking brake caliper hits.

It's a rotational system so it doesn't matter where you position the calipers with respect to braking performance. The calipers clamp the rotor the same regardless of where it's located. The fact the two calipers are 180 from one another is a tougher issue to get around though. Have you considered relocating your shocks so that they're inboard from their current position?
Also, depending on how much interference you have, you may be able to find a smaller diameter shock body that will still do the job and not hit your caliper. The fact that any non-fixed caliper is going to move inboard with pad wear certainly isn't working in your favor in this case, not like it does for wheel fitment.
