Cut and grind to ensure bolt clearences.

Will have to trim bolts for the rotor.

Mock up.

Keep running into minor issues but going okay. Once I'm done, I'll do a little page about it because I've ran across things that I didn't see from other write ups.

Are you running a spacer between the rotor & the wheel? I was thinking those wheels had a very deep backspacing.

Lol. I did the same thing. Works good doesn't it?

Mounted the caliper tonight. Found out that I'll have to get the right size outer bearing lol.

Yeah I'll have to run a spacer which I didn't want to. I got the wheels for free and they look great so I'd like to run them. Looks like I may have to run 1.5" spacer though. :scared: I'm going to convert to 1/2 studs but I'd hate to worry about the spacers at certain times.

Just a little FYI. I had a huge problem putting press in studs in the hubs I made. So what I did was use heli-coils and ran 1/2in screw in Studs. It works great. I ruined 2 sets of hubs trying to get bigger studs in them, do want to see someone else do the same.

I'm confused, did you mount those on the B-body spindles, or the G-body spindles? I'm guessing the B-body, since you mentioned you already had done that upgrade a while back, but I wanted to be sure. I currently have the B-spindles and 12" brakes on my car, but wouldn't mind going to 13" rotors and dual-piston calipers if it was easy enough.

Yeah, it's the B-body spindle. This setup isn't bad. Just cut and grind here and there if using the same spindle. I cut the hub, bought the brackets from a member here and bought the vette parts new but not all at once so the cost didn't hit me much. Next will be buying the adapters. I saw somehub centric ones on ebay I may get soon because now I can't move the car. lol.

My Brother has a 73 Nova that I told him about putting camaro brakes on. He can burn up front shoes in no time.

I have plnne don doing the same for my '87 Monte SS. I have the calipers and have already modified the G-body spindles. Where did you take the rotors to get cut down? I have thought of finding a machinst, but have been told by other people that they had the local parts store use the brake lathe to cut them that far down.

Before I changed plans & went with the ZQ8 spindles, I was going to go this route too. I had a guy at work cut one of those I had. If you can't find anyone, you could go this route too: http://www.kore3.com/products.php?cat=14

But cutting down the factory rotor is much cheaper.
