I am building a 69' Camaro with a 1st gen SBC that the customer want in the dirt. Problem is he is gonna have a little over 600 HP and a full length header is out. Really probably need a 1 7/8" but I know I'm not gonna find that. I might be able to get by with a 1 3/4" mid-length or shorty.
I have called everyone (Lemons, Kooks, Stainless Works, etc). Alot of people are saying they could build me a set if I bring them the car. The problem here is I am on a short build schedule and need them asap.
Can any of you guys help me out here?

Check out Sanderson, I think they may have a set like you've described.

Sanderson's might work as a last resort. They are a really short design.
I was really hoping someone might know of a true mid-length header though. Something that exits near the bottom of the firewall.
I just can't use anything that actually uses a collector under the floor pan itself. We're using DSE's 1/2 height body mounts. With a tube size of 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" the collector flange might hit the floor. A full length tube design would probably kick out towards the ground on the very front edge limiting ground clearance.
Anyone else got any ideas?

These are their "Chevelle" headders, I have their Big Block headders and I think they exit about where you are looking to have them exit.

I didn't see the Camaro headders when I took a quick look at their site, so I don't know how those are designed.

I have DOUG'S headers (not Doug Thorley's) and they seem to be a little longer than the ones pictured above, although mine are for a mild big block. I think Summit carries them now. I paid 509.00 through Classic Industries (they come with some sort of ceramic coating on them).
