I just broke in the cam on chevy 454 solid lifter lunati cam.
The question... I don't know what specific cam I have as I just moved and lost the cam ticket. Seems like the valves may be a little tight? I checked clearance before start up and it was around .030 thousandths ??? The engine has no lifter / valve train noise but after 5 to 10 seconds stalls out . No vacuem leaks, carbs is close enough to idle? Does anybody have a suggestion on what to adjust these valves at I believe the lift was around .550 No idea what the duration is?
