I am almost done with my Accel Gen 7+ install. The next thing to wire is the distributor. I am using a large cap distributor from a TPI Vette and a 6AL box. Anyone running something similar? I am just curious if there are any not so obvious wiring changes I need to make because of the 6AL box.
I am looking at MSD's instructions for wiring a 5/7 pin HEI and it looks pretty self explanatory to me, but I thought id double check first.
Accel's tech dept. is out until the 24th! :banghead:

Set the crank trigger to hei, and the output to EST. Wire the 6AL according to the MSD instructions for the TPI application.
Alternately you can eliminate the module in the dist. Set the crank trigger to inductive pickup, falling edge and output to sink points.
Wire the crank trigger input to the pickup in the dist, and connect the blue wire to the MSD white wire.

Thanks for the quick reply! I am still learning this Gen 7 system, so I am not 100% clear on your first instruction.
I have set the Ignition type to HEI in the system config screen. What do you mean by setting the output to EST? I see an EST lead on the main HEI harness. Thanks!

On the Calmap screen where you configure the triggers, there is an output selection. Points is one option, EST is another. There might be others, but I don't have the SW in front of me right now. EST is the one you want for HEI.
