And does it matter? I'm buying some Zoops brackets and would like to mount the A/C on the passenger side for ease of hose routing.
Thoughts? Good idea or bad?
Will have power steering.
Thanks!

Passenger side is the best location. It allows for good, clean hose routing, and the alternator and power steering package well together.
There are a lot of other nice brackets out there as well. Have you shopped around?

I have shopped around, these seem the best value, in a system that I can piece together without buying a full system all at once.
Gotta get the car on the road, then get fancy.
How do I tell what Sanders? compressor I have, do you know? I need the 508 for most brackets to fit.
Thanks.

If us A/C guys had our way, they'd al be mounted low on passenger side. But usually in a production envirornment A/C sucks hind tit, and they get mounted high on drivers.
Short hose runs with oil drainback.

True, but most early muscle cars can't clear the crossmember with a low mount.
