This is from a SVRA 69' camaro (not the one I monkey around with). It gives you a good idea of just how fast real race cars are and how intense the vintage stuff can get. Iron headed 302, 5XXhp, chipped at 8XXXrpm, 8.5" front, 9.5" back tires on (gasp) 15" wheels. 3000# wet. Production front end pieces, leafs in the back. HELL on wheels. If you've never seen a vintage race, check it out.

That was great! Now I must search out every SVRA video on You Tube and crank it up.

Steve,
You know our style. Had the #80 car at Beavrun for the Pittsburg Vintage Grand Prix last weekend. New front end package and fresh motor. Set the fastest lap of the weekend (1:05.9). Took a 1st, a 2nd and then 3rd in the feature. Great weekend.

Any one in Western PA should really check out this event next year. For a $10 donation to charity you can sit shootgun for a hot lap. It'll change your perception of "fast".

Dirk,
The #80 was a pocono last month. I think most of the #2 rod is still there... Good times.

What even are you talking about there? Next stop is The Glen in two weeks. Be there or be square.

Damn! So that's what fast is.

Reminds me of when I realized that there were guys who could hit 90+ mph fastballs, and I couldn't. Not even with a tennis racket.
