Hey guys,

Quick question.

Will paint stripper remove the black EDP coating that repro body panels come with?

I'm trying to get it off the inside of my new quarter panels and tail panel so I can hit it with POR15. I started off with the DA, and it works fine on the flatter parts of the quarters, but it can't get to the tighter bends. 90% of the tail panel will have to be sanded by hand, hence my question about paint stripper.

i think that EDP coating is alot better than POR15. POR15 needs slight rust to work right and not flake off.

POR 15 Is just paint, no miracles guys. The EDP is 100% better than using POR 15. Do not remove it to apply POR.

Now that you have most of the EDP removed you will have to use Metal-Etch so the POR 15 will adhere...

I have done this a few times and it works well.
