I'm hoping to pick up an 85 Elco tomorrow and would like to see some pics of the Elco projects going on here. Any and all years are fine with me.

Poltergeist, I am trying to figure out how I am going to route my ignition wires on the passenger side. Any chance you can send me a few pics of how you did yours? I was thinking of going around the accessory bracket like the factory did & then up over the headers. Is that what you did?
Thanks,
Scot

Thats it????
Looking good guys. I love well done Elkys and the GMC equivalent whose name is escaping me right now.
Scott, with my Formula I ran the wires under the headers just like the factory did with the manifolds. It's a tight fit but I got it to work fine. I run MSD wires.

Scot I tried to take pictures but there was not enough room to see anything. My wires are between the motor and braket on the passenger side. Then they went up and over the top of the headers when I had them on. Since I had to take it to Cali BAR to get the motor certified I put the stock Impala manifolds on. Now the wires go under the manifold and then up to the plugs. I know there is a slight difference between the F-Body and G-Body (I have) brackets, I'm not sure which one you have.

Hey Rob,
How is the elky doing? Have you finished up all of the loose ends?
Have any new pictures.. and how is it running these days?

I have factory F body brackets.
I'm not sure if there is room to run the wires between the bracket or not with an F-Body. For me there was an opening big enough to get the wire through without having to worry about them being cut/or fraied.

Hey Jim, she's street legal in California now (no more 'special' smogs). Brakes are done just need to get the interior done. But that's going to have to wait until after summer. Working on a bathroom remodel now, I hate bathroom remodels :hammer:. No new pics of it right now other then the brakes.

This is a 79 GMC Diablo I built and raced for years. I sold it a few years back to fund the Camaro Project. Had a blast with the Diadlo. Best it went was 10.74 at 127 MPH. Randy

Here you go. This is a photochop of the stance I'd like to achieve. With a few modifications too it, shaved door handles and relocated parking lights. Other than that its exactly how you see it.

Pro Bell what did you have to do for that Camaro Dash in your Diablo?
ProBell
08-19-2007, 04:10 AM
It took a lot of cutting and fitting. The Camaro dash was 2" wider than the stock dash. The pad working perfect to the doors. Just had to cut it a bunch to match the windshield curve. I also grafted the 2 different wiring harnesses together so all the dash worked properly.

Yep, I'll be there and the Elky will most likely be wearing new shoes! I ordered a set of Forgelines for my Chevelle, but it's a ways from being on the road so the new wheels and tires are going to get broken in at Pigeon Forge. :)
