Just got home from the movie. It was so awsome. I have nothing bad to say about it, everything was awsome. My girl friend even loved it. The screan was blury during most the movie so we got free passes for any movie, I think I'll go see it later this week again. Sorry for not going into detail just yet. I need to sleep so I'll try and post more about the movie tommorow.

Anyone else see it????

The screan was blury during most the movie

exactly why I waited. They were showing it here in the smaller theater of the multiplex, but I want to see it in the "big one". So I'm going tomorrow. I've been following every detail of the movie and even the viral marketing going on at www.sectorseven.org (password is deceptibot)

For a year I visited DonMurphy.net every day as every new leak was scrutinized. Every new idea. The movie guys actually came on to ask our opinions and take the flack for the designs. (I kinda like them, now.) all except for optimus prime having a mouth. But I suppose change is inevitable.

I can't wait to see it.

Me, my oldest son and a bunch of friends from work saw it last night as well. We went to the 11pm show and got home around 2am. That's not as easy as it use to be when I was a bit younger.... Anyway the movie was awesome! Lots of action and even a decent plot. Oh, did I mention the two smokin' hot chicks?

That was a sweet movie. It's going to kill the box office! Being a military guy myself I was pleasantly surprised with some of the arsenal sound effects and realistic explosions, you know, not the full on fiery fuel ones.

Some friends and I saw it today over a "long lunch". Offsite Transformational Change meeting. Ahem!

It was a good flick with lots of action, coupla hotties and yeah, a fair plot also. I'd see it again! (and probably will!)

Go see it you won't be disappointed.

I think I am going old school there is a drive in about 50 miles from my house (with 2 screens). The wife and I plan on taking our son to see it over the weekend. She wants to see it as bad as me. I like sitting in the back of the truck with a cold one watching the movie.

I saw it ast night and left wanting more. I am glad they set it up for a sequel (If you have seen it you will know what I'm talking about).
All I can for Sam Whitwiki lady friend, AMAZAZING!!! And how about that quick shot of Bumblebee's engine.
I am anxiously waiting for part two. I was somewhat disappointed by the absence of the Dinobots and Constructacons.

haha she started talking and I started rolling my eyes. Why is it so hard to get simple technical input on how an engine works? They spend so much money and time with everything else. Why not just call up a magazine and ask them?

I've actually had this image for some time now. But was reluctant to share it, I didn't want the surprise for anyone.

Here it is. Note the "High rise, double pump carburetor and loose distributer" (her words not mine.) shown here.

That scene pulled me right outta the movie.

I just got back from seeing it myself, and let me tell you they got everything down to a tee! growing up watching this cartoon and then seeing it played out on the big screen was awesome they even got optimus primes' signature phrase..."Autobots, roll out!" There is more but I don't want to spoil it.

all I can say is wow. Action from start to finish. I was glad to see that there were several lines pulled from the orginal movie.

The induction setup on Bumblebee was a set of Weber 48s on what looked like a Moon crossram. She called it a high rise with a double pumper, the nerd in me cringed- but the movie still ripped.

Solid A movie.

Ended up going today. Great movie! Loved the action and graphics. There were a few cheesey parts, but not too many. GM was all over the place and if you were paying attention, it was a bit of commercial overload. But it worked, I gotta get me one of those new Camaro's!! :jawdrop:

I HATE to admit it.. but the movie really made the old 74 Camaro pretty damn cool..

..and i hate to admit it more that i actually liked it more than the new camaro in the movie..

and the hating of admiting even more..

I ACTUALLY THINK THAT THE CAMARO WAS A BETTER CHOICE THAN A VW BUG...

there i said it..

even if i wanted it to be a bug..

They'd be INSANE not to offer a "bumblebee" version of the new camaro. Transformers 2 will come out in summer of 09. Think about the promotions. If it is indeed offered in that color combo, I'll buy one. (I'm buying one either way.)

Glad I'm not the only one that flipped out during the engine sequence. I just started laughing.

The headers on his double pumpers were pretty nice, though. If he just tightened up that distributor cap, I bet that old z would scream!

The rest of the movie was absolutely perfect, though. Exactly what a transformer movie should have felt like, despite the detail changes.

I really can't hold that line against the movie, I don't expect movies to get stuff right. And my 77 doesn't turn into a giant robot, so I assume the rest of the movie it isn't historically correct LOL. Her saying double pumper works for me.

Saw it last night. I watched it as a kid and loved it. And I absolutely loved it last night. When Optimus Prime firs showed up, I thought hell yeah here we go. It has now become my favorite movie of all time. I will admit even for a Ford guy I thought the Camaro looked great. The Stang sounded awesome. And you gotta give props to the guy that drove the semi in all of those stunts, especially the 180 spin.

awesome awesome awesome. just saw it. and i was kinda wondering about the engine too, but i was too busy lookin to see if it was a march serpentine setup instead of looking at the induction. oh well, i'll look at it closer when i go again.
and yeah, wow, she's hot.
i loved the way some of the robots transformed... sliding along the pavement using their hand to hold them up and then popping up, ready to fight. and all the military hardware... oh man, i was in heaven. hot girls, hot cars, guns, planes, etc.....
after all that, even if the story line was cheesy (which i didn't really think it was) i woulda loved it just for those reasons.

One thing I noticed, as a father, was there were A LOT of Disney Channel actors in this movie.

I'm so prophetic (is that the right word?) "...$152.5 million since opening..."

Totally legit! I watched their rain of terror in Fallujuh a couple of nights in a row. Whomever did the description of the mini guns is spot on. Looks like one laser beam from heaven when really it's every 3rd round as a tracer. I believe in the movie when they called for fire it was for the 105 howitzer the gunships have or thumper as I've heard it called. In any case, spot on with 90% of the military stuff. I will say that 100% of all movies F up RPGs or similar shoulder fire weapons. They always portray them as semi slow moving projectiles that one can jump out of the way and avoid. Not so! It fires and it's on target. Regardless....still a great movie. Thinking about skipping the driving range and seeing it again.

That first one is the "Bbwwaaaaaaaaappp" sound.
If you've ever heard a four stroke dirt bike, take that sound an double the speed. I love it. You can hear it over the jets. When we were out doing maneuvers, the first time I heard it I thought someone was actually out there somewhere riding a bike, It wasn't until I saw the A-10 in flight did I realize they were shooting.

Good movie. Took the kids to see it yesterday. Pops tagged along...this was right up his alley. I looked over and he was grinning like a kid with his tub of popcorn under his chin. LOL!!!

Optimus was kick ass. Brings back a lot of memories for me. I was big into the Autobots when I was a kid. Sure wished I would have saved those things for my kids. Today's toys are so cheaply made.

I know it's kinda late, but here's an interesting piece of trivia for y'all: I've got a cousin in the army and he told me that the version of the C-130 that you see in the movie is capable of putting a bullet in every six-inch square in a space the size of a football field. He said that when the big guns fire it actually makes the airplane move to the side. He said he saw 'em do this in Afghanistan after 9-11 and it was absolutely insane.

Yeah all the military weapons/ aircraft is very cool and Iam definately proud to admit to being a part of all of that in the Air Force where I refuel much of the aircraft you see in Transformers, If you guys think it looks cool in the movies you should see that stuff in action as Iam lucky enough too. I just saw the movie at Ramstein A.B., Germany, and to be able to step out of the theater and see the real thing right there on the runway in front of you is a cool feeling.

One thing I found interesting...towards the end of the movie in the main battle scene, the camera looks out to the street from a cafe/deli and there's a new yellow GTO that gets blown to pieces. Now the part I found interesting about this, is that GTO appeared to have an 18" or 19" version of the new camaro's concept wheels. While this is pure speculation, we all know they're not going to be able to put 22/21" wheels on a production car, but it looks like they may intend to shrink them down and keep the style.

Unfortunately, from the brief glimpse I could see, the wheel kinda seems to lose it's look in the smaller version, but we'll see.

Did any one else notice these wheels, or am I just imagining things?
