I'm in need of a rear suspension upgrade for my street/strip 2nd gen. Trans Am. Has anyone used the pro-shocks offered by pro-touring f-body? The prices are very reasonable and I may even purchase the entire rear kit. Initially I was looking a the rear leaf springs and bushings from Global West.

The engine is a 400, soon to be a 462, auto tranny. :pat:

I have pro-shocks on my 67 el camino, but it isn't running yet. You may want to check stock car places like www.speedwaymotors.com or www.stockcarproducts.com Sometimes they have better prices on the same shocks. Randy

I thought $139 a pair was a great price, compared to the koni's I have on the front of the car.

I would go Carrera's or Koni's

I should have it on the road in 5-6 months if I am lucky.

I went with the pro-shocks since they are stock fit and valved heavy enough for the springs I have. They did offer an adjustable but some listed it as 9-way and others (including Pro's site) said they were 3-way rebound only adjustment. Carrera was another choice, they make a similar oval track shock. I would have liked Koni's, but the spring rates were too high for the standard reds and didn't see a direct fit for my car in single or double yellows. Later I would like to get a better shock, interested in the Bilstein double adjustables coming out. Right now the budget dictated lower cost shocks.
