Will Spintech exhaust rust?

i just recieved my spintech exhaust and was expecting alluminum pipes but they arent. i think they are alluminized??? are they gonna rust if i dont paint it all up?

Its just a coating over steel....they will only rust around the sections you weld on. the aluminized parts will turn a powdery finish but not corrode after time.

I like to paint my welds with silver high temp paint.

They will eventually corrode. The aluminized coating isn't perfect and you'll burn it off at every weld. It will last quite a bit longer than ordinary mild steel tubing though.

I come back and paint all the weld zones with with hi-temp aluminized paint, but you can't exactly get to the inside.

A very expensive fix is to weld it up then have it all ceramic coated inside and out, but since the ceramic coating isn't perfect either you are only prolonging the inevitable.

Money no object you could do a 304 or 321 stainless exhaust which would last a long, long, LONG time.
