More info, please. I converted my headlights to H4 but they still suck balls and I've been wanting some HID's for at least a year or two but haven't found any kits.

just make sure they're actual HIDs. The knock off's are not the same. HIDs are the lamp, a ballast and a relay. I've never seen a real HID set for less than a couple hundred, which isn't too bad because 5 years ago they were in the $1000 range. more basic info on HIDs. >>http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/48813/basics_of_hid_lighting.html

CHECK THESE GUYS OUT, I JUST PURCHASED THE 4 LAMP SYSTEM FOR MY BUICK. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE MONDAY. THEY WERE VERY INEXPENSIVE SO I DIDNT FEEL LIKE I HAD MUCH TO LOSE IF THEY WERE JUNK. THEIR FEEDBACK WAS GOOD ON EBAY AND I CALLED THEIR 800 NUMBER FOR DETAILS AND THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL. http://prostreet.zoovy.com/

I have HID's in my car, they are out of a BWM 7 series I retrofitted into the H4 Conversion headlights. I think yours are H4 Conversion with a 6000k bulb and projector.
I took the projectors from a Acura TL....
This is the best pic I have right now. I can take more if needed....

Yeah, I ordered all the H4 conversion parts from Classic Industries a while ago, including a Painless harness with relays. Basically the bulbs were garbage (6000-8000k with blue-ish tint, I forget exactly) so I had to get some Hella bulbs. I don't know the part number(s) offhand, but they're much better. They still suck compared to any newer cars, though. I mean hell, my mom's Sonata doesn't have HID's but it still lights up the road WAY better than my car.
I'd be willing to pay $500+ for an HID system if it made my headlights comparable to newer cars with HID lights.

You wont be paying close to 500 or atleast i wont i wont even break 150 for my HID set-up.

If those are H 4 bulbs(do the y have a single wire coming of f the back? if so the stock H4 bulbs are from fog lights and are rated at 55 wats but you can buy 100 watters too but really need a good heavyduty relay setup for any light.

I decided to mod the Projectors even more and intergrate a parking/turn signal into them. So for now i have regular H4 halogens in it.
But ill be posting pics of the new sealed projector light when its done. If im not feeling lazy i might even do a write up on it lol
It should look good i hope lol

Have you put them on yet? I am curious if there are mods required and how well they work.
I'm looking at the conversion kit on e-bay for my 67' camaro too. Do you lose high/low beam function on a 2 headlight system?
Anyone?.....Anyone?....Bueller?

there feedback is good
Feedback is good on ebay only shows a good transaction and
good product initially.
I'm curious to see how your HID's are doing now.
I have purchased 3 kits from www.xenonking.com and my vehicle
has only had them for less then 1 year and both McCulloch ignitor/ballasts have failed. The 2 on our motorcycles however
are lasting longer because we never really use them much.

10 Seconds?????:hmm: Sounds like a serious voltage drop to the ballast to me. Try adding some relays and note the difference.
I tried them on my camaro and they took about 2 seconds to fully power on. 10000k bulbs

lol its cool
But ive decided to take a more harder but more appealing route towards my projector headlights. I trashed those Lame Ebay headlights and decided to make my own version of "Real" functional projectors. Took these from my friends mustang headlights after he no longer needed them. Im gonna be Fitting them under the 7" lens that i have apart already.

Thats the projector lens/housing. Its inside every headlight that has projectors on it. Its just underneath alot of plastic to make it look good.
If you have a pair of projector headlights of a car, tear them open and you'll find this.

Interesting. My BMW is at full brightness right when I start the car, only the color hue cools (goes from say 8000K to 6000K in about two seconds).
Frankly, I have yet to see an aftermarket HID kit that will match the performance of my bimmer. If I find one that does, I'll buy it.

I bought some HID's for my BMW and they use a different kind of ballast (it says it's 100% digital, so I guess most other ballasts are analog? :hmm: ). They start out at like 50% brightness and then go up to full brightness in a couple seconds. Supposedly it helps extend the life of the bulbs. I dunno, it's my first HID set so whatever they say works for me, lol. :p

Thats a BULB number, could be halogen, could be HID same size.

I doubt they have a specific conversion kit for this application, but this company has quality parts if you're still shopping for your conversion. I converted my 4Runner to 4300k HIDs and the service and parts were top notch. Highly recommended...
