The front has 2" drop spindle's, QA1 coilover's and now installing Air Ride Strong arm's, upper and lower control arm's. The rear is 2" lower spring's, currie adjustable upper arm's, stock boxed lower's and sway bar. Oh and an exhaust that is tucked up but with a few spot's of road rash!

protour are you going to keep the viynal (sp???) top? Your car is very nice,

There are alot of very sraight chevelles in this thread.
my chevelle is not one of them, under that nice red paint in the first pic was a ton of bondo. not a big suprise from a 30+ year old car.

:usa: all of the pics are great sources of inperation!!! keep them coming.

Funny thing about the vinyl top that you mention. My car was purchased new by my grandpa and thats how it came. Had the vinyl chrome but no vinyl to be seen on the roof haha.

I think it breaks the car up nice. Once I get to the body work I'll think a bit harder about it.

Thanks for the kind words though! Post yours up. We all have to start somewhere!!!! Thats the fun of this sport:yeah: :smoke:

I notice you are running the 572ci. Is that correct? If so, is that the 620hp or 720hp version?
I would, and I'm sure others on this board would LOVE to hear a video clip or your beast at start-up, idling and revved up. If you would be so kind?!!?

Looks a little iffy though. Check the Bid History. Seems a little weird to me that EVERY person that has bid on the car has 3 little asterisks (***) in their name (the more i look at it every one seems to be that way, is that just some security/privacy thing i don't know about???). I don't know, maybe i'm being paranoid, but the whole thing just bothers me. This is at least the 3rd time i've seen this car up on eBay and as far as i know it has never sold, and they tend to change around the pictures. First time i saw it, it was parked in front of that mansion looking thing, next time it was in a dealership, now it's back in somebody's garage. so, i guess it could have sold, but i dunno....

nevermind... found it. "eBay has changed how bid history information is displayed for higher-priced items. Nope, not tubbed in any way. The only thing I did was roll the fender lips for clearance. In that particular picture the wheels and tires are:

front - 18x8 w/ 255/35-18
rear - 18x10 w/ 295/45-18

Thanks, glad you like it!

Here are a few from when I was a kid. I grew up in S. Florida and hung out at the circle tracks, Hialeah, Palm Beach, and Punta Gorda. I know people will get pissed seeing these choped up but man they were the S.H.I.T back in the day. The Novas and the #119 Chevelle are of Bob Hamke a noted latemodel chassis builder who was from Hollywood, Fl but moved to Concord, NC in the late 80's. I sweept the floor in his shop many times as a kid just off Johnson St. Oh the memories.

Hello all you Chevelle owners and thanks for posting such sweet rides for us to drool over. I am new to this site and as you can see by my user name I do love Camaros but I must confess so do I love Chevelles and Novas just as much. I have owned multiples of each but I got to say none have compared to what you have shown here. Thanks for posting, thanks for providing the hope and encouragement for others by sharing your hard work and the sweet return. For the ones I did not comment on personally it finally just seemed easier to do it this way otherwise I was going to end up commenting on each and every one.

Thanks for having me on your site and thanks for loving those Chevelles.

Here is mine.
Unfortunately I need to replace the trans cuz it decided to go out on me.
This picture is about 10 months old
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif

This is about 2 months ago, after we moved to the new house.
It sits a little lower in this picture since I've installed the spindles, brakes and the rest of the front suspension.
Ignore the FT spoiler. I had a little oops with the floor jack and I need to replace it.

Bought mine from the original owner in Oceanside, CA. Got home from Iraq and 5 days later my wife and I flew one-way to pick it up. Owners of the car came and picked us up and we drove it home to Minnesota. Threw the wheels on it, cleaned it up and fixed everything and loving every mile in it.
