West Coast Racing held it's first ever track day at Buttonwillow over the weekend. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait until they return to Willow Springs in November so we can do it again.

Here are some pics of the weekend and yes, there are a lot of pictures of Craig's Camaro and Tom's new Corvette but hey, that's why I went. Check out the temp too. It's was pretty hot. I'm REAL glad Craig rented a garage for the weekend. Heck he even put an A/C unit in his Blazer to have a cool place for his wife Jennifer and the new baby to keep cool and take a nap. It was the greatest and most redneck idea I have ever seen. It was like 70 something degrees in the truck all day.

Watch for a posting and info on the November event soon. Maybe we can get more Pro-Touring cars out there.

All I remember at the moment is they don't make them any more. I knew he blew one up on the street a couple of months ago and had a hard time finding a new pair. I will see him in a few days to pick up a video camera I left with him and I will find out then.

Yoko A032. They aren't that sticky by today's DOT-R standard, and like said above, Yokohama doesn't make them anymore.

He got real lucky and would you believe that was the second time he did that in a session. It was during a race session where passing was allowed anywhere.

I didn't go out this time. For $250 for the weekend I'd rather put parts on my Camaro then miles on my truck.
