Hello all, I have just found these forums, found them very informative. I have a 66 and 69 GTO and a 79 Trans Am. the 66 and 69 are both in various stages of restore, the 79 is my "driver", and being so has been modified the most. it's a 455 6 speed (hydraulic clutch), I have 200 lb/in VB composite springs on the back with QA1 shocks all around. the front is still stock controls arms so far, that will be changing shortly. all the bushings in the front have been upgraded to PST and the springs are 620lb. i have also located the engine farther back in the car. basically as far as it would go before the dist. hit the firewall. it turned out to be between 2.5 and 3 inches. i would like to go farther but a firewall mod wasn't in the plans at the time. glad I found this forum I am going to lurk for a while and do alot of reading, I do have some questions I would like to ask, but that will be in the future. and hopefully maybe I can even help out a few others, I know pontiacs pretty well so we will see.
